How to Get Married in the City of Las Vegas

Congratulations on choosing to say “I Do” in the Wedding Capital of the World! In Las Vegas, you’ll find a streamlined process to make your wedding legal and beautiful. Below, you’ll find all the steps you’ll need to complete — from licensing to ceremony — so that your special day is everything you dream of.

Step 1:

Complete the Online Marriage Application

  • You and your partner should fill out the online application through the Clark County Clerk’s Office website. Link: https://clerk.clarkcountynv.gov/AcclaimClerkPreApp/Home/Index
  • The application stays in the system for one year once submitted.
  • Note: Even after submitting online, both applicants must appear in person at the Marriage License Bureau.

Step 2:

Visit the Marriage License Bureau Together

  • Both partners must appear in person together at the Clark County Marriage License Bureau (201 E Clark Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89101) to receive your license.
  • Hours: 8 a.m. to midnight, every day, including holidays.
  • Bring required documents:
    • Valid, government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, military ID, etc.).
    • If previously divorced or widowed: you’ll need the date and place of finalization (but not necessarily the decree).
  • Cost: $102 in cash (or ~$105.29 with credit/debit). Checks generally not accepted.
  • After payment and verification, you leave with your legal Marriage License — ready for your ceremony.

Step 3:

Bring Your License to A Stained Glass Wedding Chapel

  • On your wedding day at our chapel, bring your Marriage License packet with all documents inside.
  • Our officiant will perform your legal ceremony and file your marriage certificate within 10 calendar days.
  • Our chapel ensures everything is submitted correctly and on time, so you can focus on celebrating.

Step 4:

After the Ceremony – Order Your Certified Marriage License Copy

  • Once the certificate is filed by the officiant with Clark County, you may wish to obtain a certified copy of your marriage certificate.
  • For international couples: Many home countries will also require an apostille from the Nevada Secretary of State for the document to be recognized abroad.

We offer expedited services if you need your certified marriage certificate quickly, as well as assistance with obtaining apostilles for international use. Whether you’re changing your name, traveling home, or filing documents in another country, we’ll help make the process smooth and stress-free.

Expedited Certified Copy of Marriage Certificate: $100 (Additional Copies $25/each)
Expedited Apostilles: Starting at $350; Inquire with our Coordinators for Full Pricing & Processing Times.

We’re here to make your wedding day special and simple. If you have any questions about the license process or how we help with everything from the ceremony to post-wedding services, just ask!
